Ideal for preparing for earthquakes, tsunamis, and other disasters. Supports FM Emergency Warning Broadcasts (*Emergency Warning Broadcasts are a broadcasting system used when the following alert levels or warnings are issued.

Broadcasts are categorized into Type 1 and Type 2 based on the content of the emergency warning broadcast. This unit can receive both Type 1 and Type 2 emergency warning broadcasts.
1. Alert for major earthquakes (Type 1)
2. Warnings regarding disasters issued by the head of a local government based on the Basic Act for Disaster Control (Type 1)
3. Tsunami warnings (Type 2) *). Supports ★1.

FM Emergency Warning Broadcasts and Earthquake Early Warnings are different. This unit will not automatically turn on during an Earthquake Early Warning broadcast.
