【Inkstone】Akama Inkstone, Konoha Inkstone, by Takuji Horiwo, Gyokudo, with original box and certificate
48.18 $
Description
This is a high-quality Akama suzuri (inkstone) called Konoha Suzuri (Leaf Inkstone) made by Gyokudo, a specialty product of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and is considered one of Japan's representative inkstones.
Akama suzuri is said to have been favored by many patriots such as Shoin Yoshida and Shinsaku Takasugi, and has witnessed many historical turning points.
This is a work by Mr. Takashi Horio, who sadly passed away in 1986.
It was stored in my parents' warehouse. The usage history is unknown, but there are no noticeable scratches or stains on the inkstone, and I believe the condition is good. The shared box has water stains.
As this is a home-stored item, please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive.
The shared box and certificate are included.
Everything shown in the photos is included.
